2. Paste it with the Douyin tab selected.

What's the difference between Douyin and TikTok?
Same parent company (ByteDance), same short-video format, but separate apps, separate servers, and separate content. Douyin is the Chinese version; TikTok is the international one. My Douyin link won't open in my browser. Is the link broken?
Probably not. Douyin's web pages frequently block or misbehave for visitors outside China: blank pages, endless loading, region notices. The share link itself is still valid. Can I download private Douyin videos?
No. Only public videos can be fetched. If a video is private, deleted, or restricted to a region we can't reach, the tool reports a clear error instead of hanging or giving you a broken file. No downloader can bypass that honestly. Anyone claiming otherwise is selling something.
